In 2019 we cared for over 750 animals.

All are released back into the wild as soon as possible.

We believe that promoting correct advice is one of the main ways we can help hedgehogs.

This is why this website www.inforiccio.com was built and is updated by our own volunteers.

Rescue From

The Wild

Recovery from the wild is the task of the provincial CRAS (Wild Animal Recovery Center Italy). In emergencies, we organize the rescue and reception of hedgehogs. Qualified veterinary care is available.

Environmental

Protection

We work with local police rescuing illegally kept animals. We have close links to environmental agencies, fight illegal activities, we lobby about the impact of the use of poisons on wildlife.

Advice To

The Public

We advise every day via phone, email, Facebook and WhatsApp. Offering support and tips to avoid mistakes when helping hedgehogs in difficulty. Normally we don't do a night service.

Training Meetings

We hold training sessions for our all our volunteers, and contribute to

research and studies about hedgehogs. You will find news about our events on our Facebook page.

Education

In Schools

We host regular classes in schools, creating and distributing educational brochures. We work to inform and encourage children to respect

wildlife and the

environment.
