Who to contact if you find a hedgehog in trouble.

Hedgehogs are protected by law. They are wild animals.

 

They cannot be moved or kept except for health or safety reasons.

As soon as they are healthy they must always be re released back into the wild. 

We repeat that all of our volunteers are trained and we recommend that you contact experienced hedgehog carers in your area or vets as soon as possible.

 

The hedgehogs in Italy should be delivered to the CRAS (Wild Animal Recovery Centres) or a qualified hedgehog centre.
